Joe + Megan | married

1) Favorite moment?
EASY. When Joe saw Megan coming down the aisle. I literally cannot look through the progression of those images without weeping. And I mean weeping.

2) Favorite detail?
The groom + groomsmen had their suits custom made and you’ll see below, each of them chose a unique design for the lining of their suit. I’d never seen this before and I love how the suits were extra special for all of them!

3) When did you cry?
Well… as already noted, I cried during the ceremony. I also cried during all of the dances AND all of the speeches. It was a pretty emotional day (in the best way) and I knew that it would be from my first phone conversation with Megan when she shared some of their story - I was really moved by the way she spoke of how God had worked in their lives through the years, but when they were together and apart.

4) M.V.P of the day?
I’m going to have to go with my INCREDIBLE second shooter and beautiful friend, Kari. As some of you may know, I am kind of a scaredy cat when it comes to driving to Philadelphia and Kari has accompanied me a few times and is always SO SUPPORTIVE as I navigate the land of no turn signals and what feels like a 10,000 lanes of highway.

Troy + Lana | married

1) Favorite moment?
There were many, but one of the sweetest was when Lana walked out in her wedding dress and her bridesmaids saw her for the first time. She’s got quite an incredible bunch of women in her life! Also, you’ll see below that during the ceremony, Troy and Lana’s families surrounded them and prayed over them. One photo that makes me cry EVERY time I look through these captures a moment when Lana was crying and her mother wiped tears from her cheek. Crying again as I type this, no surprise there!

2) Favorite detail?
Those classic faux furs that the bride and bridesmaids wore. I love a good fur for a winter wedding!

3) When did you cry?
Well, aside from the moment mentioned above, it was also really special when Lana and her father shared a few moments before her first look with Troy. I think it is a really precious thing to set aside specific time for dad on the wedding day, or really anyone who has loved you (bride or groom!) in a big way throughout your life.

4) M.V.P of the day?

Considering how cold and unbelievably windy it was, I’m going to say the entire wedding party because look at those images - you can’t even tell how frigid the day was! Everyone was just so happy to be there to support Troy and Lana and they were up for anything, no matter the weather.

Jake + Candice | engaged

TALK ABOUT ALL SMILES.

Just looking through these images has me grinning ear to ear all over again! Jake and Candice met and became friends while they were in nursing school, and eventually Jake asked Candice on their first date. I’m chuckling right now because as Candice tells it, she didn’t actually realize it was a date at first! Needless to say, that first date went reallllly well and here they are! Doing life together ever since, adventuring to different places as travel nurses and exploring WITH THEIR CAT, Berlioz. He is pictured below and he is awesome and hilarious.

Something that’s really stood out to me as I’ve gotten to know these two is how they’ve built such a strong, romantic, sweet friendship through the years, especially while traveling together to new places where they don’t know anyone else except each other. To me, this is the kind of situation that can make or break people - when you’re constantly moving and you’re both the closest and best friend that the other has, that can be a lot of pressure. But Jake and Candice have embraced everything about it and it’s undoubtedly helped them to grow closer AND treasure the love (and life) they share.

Obviously… I cannot wait to be there to capture and celebrate their commitment. November can’t come soon enough!
